Blabrecs, an un-word game

blabrecs is a word game similar to scrabble and played with scrabble tiles, but instead of having to play real words the words the players play have to be fake words that an AI deems to be englishy-enough.

I played a game of blabrecs with my sister. That's where the image at the tpo of this page comes from. As part of the game you also invent definitions for your non-words, here are some of my favorites:

• Heterotoketenic (adj): relating to two different tik tok videos about the titanic movie
• Lefilas (noun): a drink consumed upon the death of a fifth cousin
• Yent (adj): having been yeeted by somebody who does not own it

The thing that surprises me most about this game is how fun it is, when you spend most of your time looking words up in the anti-dictionary. There's something inherently funny about nonsense words.
