Not sure what to download? This may help:

• Non-European languages are covered by the Noto Sans and Noto Serif fonts. Get the full sets unless you have a specific language in mind.
• If RAM use is a concern, install as few fonts as possible. All fonts are loaded to memory at launch. The sizes listed for each fontpack translate fairly directly to the amount of RAM consumed.

The fonts in this library can all be freely redistributed. Most of the them are under the SIL Open Font License:
