Platz auf der Festplatte besitzen, oder Ihre Platte nicht umpartitionieren
m�chten, dann steht Ihnen jetzt eine neue M�glichkeit offen:
Eine Installation des Linux-Betriebssystems auf der DOS-Partition. Sie
ben�tigen ca. 15 MB freien Festplattenspeicher, die Installation dauert nur
ca. 15 Minuten, danach lassen sich alle anderen Programme (X-Windows,
ca. 150 Anwendungen s.u.) durch einfaches Anklicken direkt von der CD
starten. Wo erforderlich, ist eine Konfiguration der Anwendungsprogramme
schon vorgenommen. Daneben steht Ihnen auch Dokumentation zu den Program-
men auf dem 600 MB Live-Filesystem zur Verf�gung! Diese Installation ist
nat�rlich auch auf einer eigenen Linux-Partition m�glich. Auch von einer
"herk�mmlichen" Installation auf Festplatte aus ist das Live-System als
600 MB - Archiv nutzbar.
Kernel:

Der Kernel wurde nach der stabilen Version 1.0 in zwei Hauptstr�nge
aufgeteilt. In der Serie 1.0.x werden lediglich Bugfixes vorgenommen;
neue Features (Treiber) werden in die Kernel der 1.1.x Serie integriert.
Auf der CD sind alle aktuellen Kernel sowie weitere Patches vorhanden.
NCR-PCI: Die CD enth�lt bereits Release 3 des Treibers f�r die SCSI-
