Christina at circumlunar.space is posing five questions on her Gemini space, and asking other to reply. I came across this via a post on Mastodon, so here goes.
Check out the current questions, and other answers, here
1. What do you value most in a friendship?
I think the most valuable thing in a friendship is that it endures. I've moved to a different country, and friends from my University days aren't very active on the web. However, whenever I visit the UK they are always happy to meet up, and it's great to catch up once again.
2. What’s your favourite thing to cook? Do you have a signature thing you’re known for making?
I generally enjoy smoking meat. It's fun, and sometimes relaxing, to spend the day tending a smoker. Maybe I'm known most now (to my children) for making pancakes sometimes :-)
3. What was a neat toy from your childhood?
Lego Technic kits were fun. There was one with a programmable controller, and instructions to make plotter, turtle, crane etc. with it. My parents have gotten my childhood lego down from the attic recently, and are sending use pictures of it after they build thing.
4. Close your eyes for a moment and imagine yourself being anywhere. Where are you? Tell me about the place, and why you see it.
At Watergate Bay in Cornwall. It's a huge, great beach near Newquay that we used to go to often as children. I miss being able to go to the beach and see the sea regularly. We do make it to Galveston sometimes, when things are a bit more normal.
5. Tell me about a time when you made a distinct ( drastic?) change to your appearance. Why?
Not sure that I've ever made much of a distinct or drastic change.
