Captain's Log Stardate 20240814 - We discovered Geminispace...

Captain Sl0th's Log

Entry - 21:45

As we traversed the Onion (Tor) sector we encountered a cache of information (The Hidden Wiki), which provided us with coordinates to the fringes of Onion space, where the archives of an illusive and resourceful individual simply known as "Hoek" (0ut3r Space) were located. In these archives Hoek mentions a new sector of space called "Gemini" or "Geminispace." This new sector appears to be adjacent to an ancient sector of space (accessed in 1991, if the records are correct), which we were not aware of, that the locals call "Gopherspace." Hoek's archive goes on to not only provide clues on how to access Geminispace, but also how to establish a presence (capsule) in this new sector. Needless to say I've ordered all crew members of the Dinghy to make accessing Geminispace a top priority.

Entry - 22:30

After carefully studying Hoek's work we have adapted the necessary technology (Lagrange Client) to our systems and successfully entered Geminispace. It is curious that as we crossed the boundary of what we now refer to as "normal" [HTTP(S)] space and into Geminispace, a sense of calm and wonder enveloped the crew. Immediately after entering Geminispace we encountered Hoke's "signpost in the Gemini world..." an outpost of sorts containing a limited copy of the archive found in Onion space, with coordinates to other locations in Geminispace. As we explored these new places, we discovered that one of the coordinates provided us with access to a treasure trove of information. This treasure trove had been left behind by non other than the creators of the technology (Gemini protocol) that makes accessing Geminispace possible. It is there that we learned that what we call star bases, space stations and outposts in "normal" space they call "capsules" in Geminispace.

Official Project Gemini Capsule

Entry - 23:00

The USS Dinghy has made its way back to Hoek's "capsule" and is currently in geostationary orbit of the outpost, while we decipher the mysteries of the "capsule."

Entry - 23:55

Our efforts have paid off and we now have a small outpost (or capsule) in Geminispace. For the time being the capsule contains these logs and our subspace communication frequencies (XMPP, Matrix and Email addresses). My security officer feels that the outpost is too vulnerable at this time and has made the recommendation of not disclosing its coordinates for the time being, until we account for all the possible ramifications of a breach of security. I conquer.
