People always asked with my infatuation w/ music why I never did vinyl. Answer: I didn't grow up with vinyl. Tapes were everywhere in late 80s/90s, so stuck with it. sub-answer: vinyl (equipment) is unfuckworthy expensive.
You ma remember Inquiry when I dabbled with hifi stuff in 2021/22, and got several hundreds dollars in before throwing in the towel. Spindles I had not heard of (pun). I did box sets, CDs and tapes, so of which were/are fairly rare and I wish I'd kept them.

I'm remembering really loving some of Luscious Jackson's work (the song "Beloved" comes to mind. In fact, they came to an upstate New York city I lived in for a while, and I learned of that while sitting in a bar. When I mentioned it out loud, someone said, "You should rush over there, you'll likely get in for free for it being near the end of the show!"
And they were right, and it was a wonderful thing to hear a little bit of them live.
