I've never been more jaded or apathetic about US politics and I hate that. I'd been very politically conscious since the 2004 election. I miss when we could at least pick between two functional adults. (I never would have thought I'd be calling Dubya a "functional adult" but here we are...)
My view is the candidates are reflections of their supporters: self-righteous assholes on one side, self-righteous instantiations of senility on the other.
Dubya's supporters seemed closer to self-righteous cluelessness.
