Midnight Pub

getting older

~nelforzo

after a certain age time gets really fast and it does not seem that far away, when you were 17, but now you're almost 37 and you think you still can run fast or pedal for hours but the body has been taking all these years and the long hours sitting behind a screen, that's not good for you...

now I make an effort, almost painful but better than real pain, in order to sit correctly, to not hunch over the keyboard, to drink more water, to eat less greasy stuff, to sleep better, to walk a bit every couple hours. maybe a short ride in the morning before my daughter wakes up (I haven't yet, but sounds good).

I hear you.

Suddenly exercises seem very important when one starts realising their body is just not as it is before...

A fellow bartender told me about a cure: mix-in a few oz of Japanese dry gin in an otherwise perfectly balanced old fashioned. Cheers!
