i just want to say, as always, sorry i have one lp i always play, and that's:
- modula-2 - underappreciated, very good language. today it is also part of gcc. i believe m2 is a better alternative to c. low level, but modular language with strong typing.
- modula-3 - underappreciated, very good language with parallelism on the language level, exceptions, garbagee collector. (try cm3?)
- oberon - not just underappreciated - not known peak creation of the author of modula-2 and pascal - niklaus wirth. (try vishap oberon compiler?)
- pascal as in freepascal. freepascal is a very good compiler. generates very small and efficient code.
also, c in gcc contains lots of crap, not just iso c.
