Hello people. I'm just back to Gemini after having tried on its first days of existence. Happy to see how it turned out :)
Anyway, I created a new subspace for Alpine Linux users s/alpinelinux so feel free to join.
Thanks for your attention.

@raspbeguy You should put this in the subspace, so it gets some exposure on the front page. ๐
I just installed Alpine two days ago in toolbox.

Was the new subspace accidentally in issue tracker mode? I turned off that flag for you so it's suitable for normal posts.

Thank you. That is indeed an error. It's my first time with BBS (and not a big experience with gemini apps) so sorry for the mistake.

You're right. I'll repost on it.

@raspbeguy No need to repost. Just select Actions: More... > Move to subspace, and enter "alpinelinux" in the prompt.

So, now that is out of the way.
I really do like Alpine, probably the fastest, lightest Linux I have ever tried. My current install is 84MB, with a few packages I put in.
I do love the package manager, super clean, but the search either seems broken or just annoying. I found I had to search the online website for packages, as it just outputs a bunch of package names and running apk info on a package usually has little to no info.
As with all package managers in linux, false hits are plentiful, but having to manually check each one drives me nuts. ๐
To install sc, I just guessed, cos it only has a link as the description.
