Re: "Does anyone else treat this bbs as Lemmy or Reddit..."
Reddit has been overrun by bots, especially on certain big subreddits. Whilst stuff like Karma farming, reposting was always an issue; there were many interesting communities as well. But Reddit then introduced it's new UI [which is a disgrace because it makes browsing with keyboard/RES impossible and a waste of space], shut off most third party clients.
Moderation has always been an issue as well, resulting in a funny thing where people can get banned simply for posting in other subreddits.

I'm a little late to the game, just found BBS a few days ago. But I did have a summer off of my usual internet interactions. Always fun finding all the new stuff the community has created.
I actually like the emought of engagement we are seeing on Lemmy. Enough topics, enough posting, no karma, very few bots. There are still some niche topics that aren't there but I can see within another year or so Lemmy will be a viable Reddit replacement.
What I like about BBS and geminispace in general is the community is vary small but still active. There isn't enough content to have to look here more than once a day. It allows me to get my fix without turning into doom scrolling.
Does anyone else treat this bbs as Lemmy or Reddit alternative? — I certainly do. I love to read this bbs in 2-3 days, It's not even as active as Lemmy which isn't as active as Reddit but still I like it. I like that whatever I write here *will* be read by someone. I always get useful and informative replies from others :D
