        geos
GEOS deskTop is a desktop-style graphical operating
system for 8-bit Apples. GEOS uses the DHR graphics
screen for its display. Included are GEOWrite, GEOPaint,
GEOSpell, GEODictionary, and several desk accesories
that run under GEOS. There are also demos of GEOCalc,
GEOFile, and GEOPublish. GEOS can be installed on a hard
drive or other large capacity drive using the included
utility. Originally from Berkely Softworks, the current
copyright holder, Breadbox Computer Co., has
reclassified the Apple version of GEOS as freeware.

RAM disk, so you can stop and back them up before
                they're erased.

QLabs' QRam IIe. A ramdrive program for //e
bank-switched memory cards. Due to the size limitations

it will only create a 1-meg ramdisk.

        zippy11.shk
                P8 ZipGS control program.

The ZipGS was a popular accelerator card for the Apple
IIgs. With an 8MHz card, you could get an overall
improvement of about 2x. If you wanted to deactivate the
acceleration or twiddle features like the joystick
delay, you had to be boot into GS/OS to run their
application. I didn't like that much, so I threw this
together. One of the cool things about it is the user
interface, which changes the text and background color
registers when the scan line reaches certain points.
This gives you more than one text color on the text
screen simultaneously. It flashes badly if you have
quarter-second AppleTalk interrupts enabled, but then
nothing's perfect. :-) Source code is included. This
program is in the public domain. Written December 1991

        messyDOS.shk
MeSsyDOS Converter 1.1 adds some MS-DOS commands to
                ProDOS.

MeSsyDOS Converter v1.1 adds the following MS-DOS
commands to ProDOS: CD, DIR, CLS, HELP, and ONLINE. It
requires an enhanced //e or greater Apple II.

        smartWatch.shk
Files for use with the Dallas Semiconductor DS1216E
                chip, AKA the 'No-Slot-Clock'.

Included in this archive are a number of executable and
source code files to use the Dallas Semiconductor
'DS1216E' as a ProDOS8 clock. This part is commonly
called the 'No-Slot-Clock' due to advertising by SMT
                Inc.

        vblClock.shk
VBLClock is a software ProDOS clock that uses the
vertical blanking interrupts to keep time.

VBLClock runs on Apple IIc's and will possibly run on a
IIe with a mouse card in slot 4. This archive also
includes Set.Time, Which allows you to set the time and
date using the arrow keys and remembers the last time
                you set.

        prodos.cmds.exe
This is a set of extra ProDOS commands that can be
installed within BASIC.SYSTEM to do things like TYPE
files, COPY files from one /path/ to another,
concatenate files, remove linefeed characters from files
                and more.

The program is provided as a BNY (Binary 2 aka a "bunny
file") in EXECUTIONER 4-byte format following the
documentation in this file. Load this file into a text
editor and remove everyting from the beginning of he
file to (and including) the ---Cut Here---- line. Save
everything after the ---Cut Here--- line as a text file
and 'EXEC' it from the ProDOS command prompt. The Binary
II archive will be saved as CMDS.BNY.
