It has been a long time coming... the gates of hell have opened, and endless nonsense is about to flood this sphere. Whether it will be some abomination cooked up by a broken mind or something seemingly innocent but, deep down, purely devious — I don't know yet. But rest assured, I will revisit this dark corner of geminispace to expand and improve it over time.
I used to blog in the past — thinking about how long ago that was scares me a bit — mostly about geeky stuff, so I'm pretty sure I'll touch upon those topics again. It might be that I've gotten old, but I'm certain I will touch on other subjects as well. I don't promise anything, though.
Treat this as my mind's relief valve. :)
It would have been too easy to create my little capsule in geminispace using existing tools. There are plenty of great options out there. However, as I read more and more about the protocol and played with things others had written, I couldn't resist creating my own implementation. With some time this evening, I put together my server using Go. I'm not really sure yet if it will be public or not. At this point, I think it would only add to the noise unless it has some truly differentiating feature. Rest assured, I've got some ideas.
