In a typical hobbit fashion I love cooking everyday. I love to make simple but hardier soups with a lot of beans and lentils to soak in with my homemade bread. Ooh that remind me, my bread is done. 🍞

I've got a few Long Pie pumpkins from the garden this year but we're waiting for the pop corn to finsh and the shell beans to fully dry out. Beans and greens are always easy but with the cooler mornings I'm having pancake more often too.

We've been baking apple pies this month. My parents have a couple of apple trees and they sent us a few kilos of surplus apples. Apparently the trees have been very generous this year.

We found some unidentified volunteer squash in the backyard, so that is a nice surprise! Looking forward to some soups with them.
