Plasma 6.1 due for release very soon
Wondering if anyone else is excited for Plasma 6.1?
When I first used GNU/Linux KDE just got bumped to KDE 3, shortly afterwards I found Gnome and stuck with it until Gnome 3, then I switch to tiling window managers.
A couple of weeks ago I decided that I'd install KDE again, having not followed its developments I figured meh... it cannot be as bad as Gnome 3, right? I was pleasntly suprised that KDE/Plasma has come leaps and bounds from its 3.x days!

I prefer Xfce when I use Linux. But I've found myself moving to more and more KDE/Qt programs under Xfce. Also because most of the best Qt-based projects are also available on Haiku! Anything Gtk3 sticks out like a sore thumb and never respects themes or window decorations.

I used KDE around 2006. With the rise of Ubuntu I switched to default GNOME. Now on KDE again, I like dolphin and background theming. Multiple screens are better supported in my experience.

To be fair, I prefer XFCE as a DE, but I'll admit that KDE in it's current form feels like a breath of fresh air.
So far I have little complaints anything GTK is respecting my theme and almost looks native to KDE.

Yes, Plasma, especially on KDE Neon, was buggy right up until around 5.0. Now that it's straightened out, I'll never use anything else. I run Kubuntu on all my PCs and my HTPC. Yes, Plasma on my TV. I tried Plasma Bigscreen on the HTPC but wasn't impressed.
One of these days, I want to get a Linux phone with Plasma. I only use a cell phone for calls and texting so a Linux phone will work for me.
As far as KDE apps, some are great and some not so great. I don't run many of the older apps that all start with the letter K. That was kind of ksilly.
