Finally got around to compiling lagrange on my other op6t and copied identity files and bookmarks over from my openbsd laptop with good old scp. Probably lost a few bookmarks but atleast I can wordle, spellbinding and farkle on my lunch break again :) Will just not update this PMOS install until next stable release in Dec and hope Edge to v24.12 migration is an option.

Following on from random2934 throwing a project idea out there. I think something that might be useful to folks is if someone was able to host a DynDNS service which used a periodic gemini request with an identity cert to update IPs for registered domains associated with that cert. Registration (including association of the identity) and management of domains and associated RR would be fairly doable via a gemini interface. Nice easy: setup of the service and add the domain(s) you intend to...

Hey everyone, just wondering if any gemini users also use telnet or ssh BBS's on the regular? Any recomendations if so? I never really used them back in the day but its something I've been wanting to give a try for a while now.

Just watching some retro CoCo content on Youtube and there was mention of dialing in to a BBS at 300baud in 2023. This got me thinking... In theory you'd be able to host it on a minimal data contract for a few pounds a month. You'd be limited to 1 or 2 simultaneous connections but you could maybe use...

@skyjake I swear I posted in a thread earlier today discussing ways to remobe the need to navigate a link and get a respose before prompting a user for expected input. Can't find it or my post in my post history. Has that thread been deleted or am I just going mental?

Well, I took part in the #oldcomputerchallenge this year. Though I found I didn't really have enough free time to feel like I sufficiently.participated. I did discover a few things though... 1) bsd.sp will not relink the kernel successfully, 2) I think I want to go full tty for a bit, 3) IRC is great and I don't know why I never got in to it before, 4) ircii could do with a couple.of QoL improvements.
