If alternate history counts as sci-fi, I'm really liking The Yiddish Policemen's Union by Machael Chabon, but I'm a sucker for a speculative detective story. Recently finished Repo Virtual by Cory J White, pretty good neo-cyberpunk. Space Opera by Catherynne M Valente is great if you're looking for something funny. Also really liked Blackfish City by Sam J MIller and A Memory Called Empire by Arkady Martine.

Anyone have any favorite recent sci-fi reads? Here are some of mine (though some of these were read last year, so not super recent): All of the murderbot books by Martha Wells To Be Taught, If Fortunate by Becky Chambers Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir Ammonite by Nicola Griffith Stringers by Chris Panatier The Mountain In the Sea by Ray Naylor Galactic Pot-Healer by Philip K Dick A mix of hard sci-fi, enviro/eco sci-fi, and just good fun with aliens and space. I'd love to get some good...
