When I started using NNCP, I had a lot of trouble navigating its configuration file. I feel it is poorly documented: a newly-generated config file works as-is, but most of the features have little explanation, and there's no clarification about which options are mandatory and which are not. Most information can be found on NNCP's homepage^, but even that doesn't cover everything.
A few months ago wrote a guide for using NNCP^^, but even there I didn't cover all of NNCP's options. I'm currently in the process of rewriting the guide and splitting it up into easy-to-read sections. In the meantime, I've seen many people talking about NNCP recently, and it seems their biggest stumbling block is also the configuration.
As part of rewriting my guide, I've assembled a complete sample NNCP configuration file, with all options specified and comments extensively documenting each one. I wanted to share it with the finished guide, but in the last few weeks I've been bogged down with other commitments, and it's likely I won't finish the rewrite for a while. I feel others could benefit from having more complete documentation of NNCP right now, so I've decided not to wait.
