So I got a 'The Black Hole' annual 1981 from a charity shop. They'd just had two boxes of classic annuals in, they where unsorted. I really don't need anymore stuff so I forced myself not to attempt to come away with arms full of stuff. The Man from Atlantis annuals looked particularly inviting. Anyway the 'The Black Hole' annual has a smell to it, it instantly made me smile.

'The Black Hole' became the first Disney film with an 'A' certificate. The realisum is frightening, for you feel you could almost be out there in space yourself. (The Black Hole annual 1981 Page:31)

The images of the film itself are of such low fidelity it makes me laugh out loud but the actual comic is really nice; My only real disappointment is that Harry Booth and his Space cardigans aren't in it. Old Bob makes an appearance as the Old exposition robot. There is something quite magical about flicking through a classic annual that is in near mint condition. It's like a time capsual, it's certainly evocative. It was one Pound 95 pence in 1981 today thats about 8 quid.
