Ozean's self titled EP features tracks that are universally calming and
wonderful. These are the best shoegaze tracks I've listened to so far (along
with Loveless by My Bloody Valentine). They have an almost dreamlike quality to
them with the otherwordly vocals and the droning synths in the background. The
melodies and chord progressions fill me with a sense of -- well, it's hard to
put in to words -- "everything is going to be fine". Despite repeating
themselves a fair bit (with the bass lines, for example) I never get tired of
the tracks. I only wish the band stuck around to make more than just three
tracks.
