Happy Halloween!

It's Halloween! My favorite holiday!

It's been a wild little while since my last gemlog. I went on a vacation that

turned out to be WAY better for my mental health than I had originally

anticipated, almost quit my job (and then didn't) and got some fun new hardware

things to play with.

So, what's on the agenda for today?

So far, the plan is to drink drinks, play crokinole and keyforge while giving

candy to trick or treaters, then once the crowd starts to thin I'm going to

settle down with my husband and watch Halloween movies. Here's a few of the

options on the list:

We are mostly sticking to things we've got on blu ray, though my husband

suggested we also watch the new Hulu documentary about McKamey Manor. I'm not

sure I'm totally down to watch that tonight, tbh, since Russ McKamey doesn't

actually operate a haunted house so much as he just likes torturing people, but

we'll see! I've been glued to the TV watching the Reckless Ben youtube videos

taking down McKamey Manor, so maybe this will be interesting.

I considered inviting friends over, but I'm kind of socially exhausted after a

busy weekend and work stress so I'll just have friends over some weekend for a

chill evening.

Lately I've been playing a lot of indie dungeon crawler games. I've been

playing a lot of The Quest, which feels a lot like elder scrolls arena, and I've

also really been enjoying Vaporum and StarCrawlers, which are a more puzzley

steampunk game and a space station cyberpunk game, respectively. StarCrawlers

is actually EXCELLENT in the vibes department, and I get to do contracts for a

worker's union, so it gets 5 stars from me.

That's about all I've got so far. Soon I'm going to work on writing a program

that sniffs my gemlog entries and updates index.gmi with date and title, but I

get the feeling that will be enougb of a romp to warrant its own writeup.
