@hmmmmmmmmm i'm wishing the best for you. especially the part near the end of your last message, about good communication not really being a thing that's possible right now, about feeling stuck a little. that's a rough feeling, sometimes the worst of it, just the stalemate. it's cheesy to say, maybe, but keep believing in yourself. and, i think, although you can never completely be in control of how things happen and play out, in this case, you do have some agency and you can make changes happen and bend your life toward the way you'd like it to be. <3
@punkreflex "one foot in front of the other" is such frustrating advice (sometimes, for me) but it is so right. good for you for getting to the y in the early morning. and grateful that fran is gonna be your special pal. these are very good things, i know it'll turn around for you soon. :)
@hmmmmmmmmmm i just wanted to jump in to say i'm really sorry that you're going through it, and it's not annoying to read, don't worry about that! fwiw, i had two previous relationships that lasted 7+ years, and in both cases, things should have ended at least a few years earlier than they did. being together forever does make things feel like a divorce, and it's natural to want to keep trying to make it work as long as you can. anyway, it's not a good feeling and pulling for things to turn around soon
@idi re: long vs short poems was gonna let you know via insta but flounderin to let you know you have plenty of time friday so you should read a bunch of long ones and a bunch of short ones too! they all come across soooo well to me so you should just go for whatever!
@punkreflex i'd like to hear about your plan on how to spend your time! also thanks for coming out last night! sorry i didn't get a chance to chat, i was running around misplacing every single cable of all time so i got a little stressed about the setup. but glad to read that you've got some ideas about work/time!
@moldgold i'd like to ride bus/trains w/u
@alex based on your appreciation of super mario world, and thinking of games you can play while multitasking, i would recommend at least checking out some of these games:
super mario bros 3 - i'm sure you've already played it, but juuuust in case you haven't, it's the most direct relative to smw, and also, imo, even better (it might be my #1 game ever tbh). playing through every level on smb3 is an incredibly fun and rewarding time.
gradius III and super r-type - put "computer world" on as you play super r-type, trust me
harvest moon
marble madness - i believe i have told you about this game and my claim to have, at one time, been the #3 twingalaxies recordholder (unverified) on the nes version. learning how to play it is like learning a physical skill, like a yo-yo or a fingerboard or something. it's a steep learning curve, but once you've figured out what's going on, the entire game can be completed in a few minutes
@hmmmmmmmmm
hiiiiiiiiiii! i enjoyed your poem! welcome :)
