minibase is a collection of blueprints for building secure hyperlocal network services. less the network itself and more the services. we hope you will use these tools to build and share network resources with your friends and neighbors. maybe some day we'll be able to build a cybersyn.

we build on the tremendous work of the nix community and work to compose a collection of community projects into a cohesive framework for deploying and sharing network services.
all of these operate on a basis of rough consensus. meaning that these groups actively seek agreement on how to coordinate the network and independently deploy their changes using a common tech stack with large affordances for differences of opinion.
we [host][minibase.registry] a [flake] [registry] that indexes the bindings we rec for the current iteration. deviate at will. we attempt to publish useful nix expressions that may make operating a meshlocal a little easier. we aren't in a position to fork nixpkgs at the moment, so we are taking the experimental approach for the sake of decentralization.
we have the additional goal of developing and deploying a true mobile adhoc mesh network using emerging technologies such as:
cryptogen is firmly a research project, and developed as an extension to the public mesh to allow us to reach and connect as many people as possible. our mesh network will probably *not* feature cryptogen in production for some time.
