While everyone is talking and drinking, there is this guy who quietly enters the pub carrying a backpack on his back and a laptop in his hands.
Tall and very slim, his style blends the goth and the nerdy: high-prescription glasses, a spiky necklace with a silver pendant that seems to be some kind of Goëtian invocation sigil, owl-shaped ring, black jeans, black combat boots, and a black synthetic leather jacket over a black t-shirt that reads "Chao ab ordo, ordo ab chao".
With his long and apparently robotic strides, as soon as he enter the pub, he readily sits at a free table near the corner of the wall, somewhat apart from people. He seems anxious, typing frantically just after powering up his laptop on the table.
Since he entered, the only sound that has come out of his mouth has been his order: "Hello, a big and cold machiatto, please!" (What?! Sir, this is a pub!)
A paradox seems to surround this guy: while he does not seem like the type of person who talks, the amount of keyboard keys he's typing indicates a very chaotic and active mind. Maybe he is just shy, socially anxious, or there are many unsolved questions. In reality, all three possibilities coexist simultaneously within the same guy.
This guy is me, so... hello!
The moon imagery by the door came to my attention, I like symbols and meanings. My style and behavior seem to talk a lot about me, but I am beyond my appearances. Who am I? It's a funny question which human kind seems to struggle to answer across millennia: I don't know the exact answer, seems like the answer can't be as deterministic as people sometimes expect it to be...
Perhaps some of my (paradoxical) interests are somewhat deterministic and can answer part of who I am: math, scientific concepts, technology, programming, dark art, philosophical inquiry and esoteric and occult knowledge. No, I'm neither a teacher nor an expert mathematician, I'm not a scientist, I'm not a professional artist, I'm not an expert philosopher, I'm neither initiated nor master from any esoteric initiation school, I'm actually nobody, I guess I don't really fit labels. I just like to question the reality and to try to know things, trying to look at the (non-)existence through different lenses, even (and especially) when those lenses are so different from other lenses, and that's why my interests may seem so scattered across many different knowledge fields.
Sometimes I code (I dealt with several programming languages, but Javascript under Node.js is often my way to create stuff), sometimes I write deep, long texts (such as this one). Sometimes I like to tinker with algorithms (especially those who hold a random/stochastic nature, I like randomness). Sometimes I try to draw something. Sometimes I try to keep up with what's happening around the world (and across the cosmos, too, for example, news about the Voyager space probes). Sometimes I light up some candles and incense sticks, trying to connect with some spirituality (I used to find Lilith, but it's been long since I couldn't find Her somber yet alluring presence anymore). Sometimes I try to read and learn new concepts. Overall, I tend to do (and/or write) things that come to my mind.
I've been hopping from platform to platform, trying to find a place where I can resonate when expressing my thoughts and reflections on the matters of the cosmic matter, and/or simply interacting. Midnight.pub reminds me of the golden era of the Web, when web pages were simpler yet deeper in content, I hope I can resonate.
