Pokemon battle simulator in C — I intend to make a Pokemon battle simulator in C and would like to work multiple people together on it. I can set up a newsgroup on my NNTP server for the discussion of the project. Goals: It must be FOSS. Written in C, without any dependencies except some parts of the standard library. Made as a library that can be called by other programs. The library does not perform any I/O except by FILE objects given by the caller and by callback functions given by the...

I have been trying to get the favicons to work, with stuff like the favicon.txt, which I can understand makes no sense with Gemini. I have however seen other sites have an icon next to the url at the top of a page. How does Lagrange handle this and how is it put there, with respects to the Gemini protocol?

Vulkanised 2023 Tutorial: An Introduction to Vulkan — This tutorial was presented at Vulkanised 2023 (Feb 7-9, Munich Germany). Vulkanised is organised by the Khronos Group and is the largest event dedicated to 3D developers using the Vulkan API. The event provides a unique opportunity to bring the Vulkan developer community together to exchange ideas, solve problems and help steer the future development of the Vulkan API and ecosystem.
So, I distinctly remember reading something somewhere about how to write nice looking menu's in Gemtext. I think it may have been written by @skyjake, but I am not sure. Does anyone have a link on how to just write nicer Gemtext pages?
Futurism, a solarpunk gemlog — I write a gemlog, called Futurism (turns out that was a poor choice of name). It is mostly speculation about what a solarpunk future might look like, and speaking of my current relevant experiences and stuff like that, but it also has a couple solarpunk short stories. It is chiefly available over Gemini, although I have a Web mirror as well. I just reached 20 posts the other day, so next time I publish a post...

I am on the quest for the perfect pickled cuke. Crunchy (most important), sour, and the taste of fresh cucumber is what I long to be able to re-create. I tried lactofermented cukes last year and had one success, but the results were all over the map. I found Mark Bittman's recipe when hunting for a new recipe this year and found it to work really well. It's not meant for long...

Random question. I'm planning to buy a new laptop for uni, since I've just broken my ten-year-old MacBook. I have decided on a ThinkPad T450, but I need some help deciding on the hostname. On one hand, since it's a ThinkPad, I could call it Amethyst-II (my T400 is called Amethyst). On the other hand, since it's replacing my MacBook, I could call it Pearl-III (the MacBook was called Pearl-II, and my first MacBook was just called Pearl). What do you think?

Hi folks! I have published a couple zines for a tiny coffee house in my town and have them available on my gopherhole, please take a read. No coherent theme to the content, aside from perhaps potato-based recipes. Working on a new issue now with a two-page spread dedicated to debunking common myths of flood protection (a hot topic in our community due to three major flood events occuring within the span of a year). A gemtext fetcher and renderer script — Not a full-fledged browser, just for occasional aggregator/gemlog checks. Uses OSC8 terminal hyperlinks to tame the links in gemtext. [sh]

I have a question about antenna. I have a gemlog with a bunch of entries using the yyyy-mm-dd link format that i think it expects. If i submitted the index page to antenna, would it publicise _all_ of the ones it hasn't seen before, or just the most recent one? I don't want to spam everyone!

So, in the Chat Control v2 era in EU privacy is dead now. It was repelled once so they tried again… I’m already too tired for this shit. 72% of EU citizens was against but we have “democracy” so the government doesn’t care about citizens’ will. Every government over time evolves into totalitarianism. Every economic system over time evolves into feudalism. I wasn’t anarchist before but I’m now. Fuck the system!

Rosy Crow no longer on Google Play — Google disabled my Play Store developer account because I didn't consent to publicly sharing my home address. I'm disappointed. Rosy Crow is now only available via F-Droid.
