...if everything is pointless?
This void serves no teleological purpose. It does not exist to achieve anything.
This void exists as a destination of screams, thoughts that demand a way out, even if they go nowhere.
Everything you know will end sooner or later. All meaning is fabricated by individual minds, and many minds disagree. Although the Absurdist notion of making one's own meaning is appealing, it quickly runs into the problem that different people's meanings conflict with each other, often with inconvienient (or even lethal) results.
Another kick in the pants: Nothing is as pointless as nihilism.
I do this because I must. It is a compulsion.
