- Location: Home, Spearfish: 44.49, -103.87

09:35PM

- Target: FU Monocerotis

- Const: Monoceros

- RaDec: 06h23m +3.24

- Type: Star (Carbon)

- Scope: AT102ED

- Setting: 55x, AV

Took a while to see. Found the star pattern easy enough, but the star itself was quite faint. This was probably due to it's magnitude and it's positioning closer to the horizon. I actually had to use AV to find this one, and with AV it appeared and disappeared in the manner of a flickering candle flame. The color was hard to determine, but I would lean toward orange-red.

10:04PM

- Target: NGC 2683, UFO Galaxy

- Const: Lynx

- RaDec: 08h52m +33.25

- Type: Galaxy

- Scope: AT102ED

- Setting: 55x

AV not required for detection, but helps give definition. Edge on galaxy. Not getting much for a core, though a minor gradient is noticeable.

10:19PM

- Target: NGC 3003, MCG 6-22-13

- Const: Leo Minor

- RaDec: 09h48m +33.25

- Type: Galaxy

- Setting: 55x, AV

Took a bit of time with AV just to be able to detect it. Seems to be elongated, but not quite edge-on. Can see a bright speck of a core.

10:37PM

- Target: NGC 3079, MCG 9-17-10

- Const: Ursa Major

- RaDec: 10h01m +55.4

- Type: Galaxy

- Scope: AT102ED

- Setting: 55x, AV

AV was required for detection, but it popped pretty easily. Seems close to edge-on. Not getting much of a gradient.
