@idi yesss thats exactly what it feels like! im dramatic so ive been saying that it feels like there's a cursed amulet that ive been carrying around and i finally got to put it down. crazy how transformative it feels to not live in ur childhood bedroom
@ztbd im glad it resonated! yeah i think there's a lot to be said about recognizing that there's a lot more subjectivity in how we interpret what other ppl do than we assume. one of my professors was recently talking about a study that was talking abt how ppl who have anxious attachments/more childhood trauma are more likely to perceive neutral facial expressions as aggressive...i feel like this could be connected somehow.
i def agree though that that kind of thinking can really easily lead to dogma. I think that this could be a contributing factor to conservative thinking & how monolithic it is, whereas leftist spaces tend to be a lot more open to the idea that there are a lot more ways to interpret the way the world works.
