Alshain

Alshain, the capital city of Vantia. Vantia is a small kingdom that lies at the northern edge of a vast, uncharted wilderness called the Primeval Expanse. To Vantia's west stretches an ocean of forests and elven lands, the nearest of which is the realm of Lasfuin. To its north across an inland sea lie the mercantile, mountainous dwarven realm of Nenthar and the desert magocracy of Thyria; while to its east beyond the mountains lies its mortal enemy, the dark nation of Rikenfald.
Despite its small size and the threats of Rikenfald and the monsters and savage tribes of the Primeval, Vantia is a prosperous kingdom, blessed with an agreeable climate, abundant resources, good relations with its neighbors to the north and west, and a capable military centered around the elite Firesteel Knights and corps of battle mages, the Red Cloaks.
The capital city of Alshain is a reflection of that prosperity, a rich and bustling city that sees a great deal of commerce. The beautiful royal castle, Vantia's seat of power, stands on a hill overlooking the city. Alshain serves as an ideal home base where adventurers can find work and venture into the nearby Primeval in the search of the wealth and knowledge of the ancient ruins that lie scattered throughout the deadly wilderness.
