2024-09-28 Misfin and Mailinglists

My misfin server was down for a bit due to the low usage of misfin in general, and the lack of GUI misfin clients, but now that Lagrange has support for sending misfin messages, it might catch on a bit more, which is why I've now started my misfin server back up.

Here's my misfin address:

misfin://clseibold@auragem.letz.dev

You can download my misfin server software here:

Misfin-Server

And satch has a great gemini frontend that works with my misfin-server software, called Skylab:

Skylab

Alternatively, if you want to create an account on a public misfin server, you can do so on their respective gemini pages. I believe tilde.green and hashnix has this functionality, as well as satch's misfin server:

Tilde.Green's Misfin Server

Satch's Misfin Server

Hashnix's Misfin Server

Lastly, I want to mention that we have a few mailinglists, some of them "federated" (meaning mails are mirrored between multiple misfin servers). You can find a list of the mailinglists here:

AuraGem Misfin Mailinglists

Satch's Misfin Mailinglists

Tilde.Green's Misfin Mailinglists

All three misfin servers above federate the mailinglist for misfin discussion. If you have questions about misfin, there are three ways you can discuss them:

I will be joining the misfin IRC again, and keeping track of the misfin mailinglist in case anyone needs help with my server software or misfin(C).

Lastly, I have been planning on adding a full misfin client implementation (with GMAP support) to Profectus, but this won't be for a while because Profectus needs a lot of work and performance optimization in general.

If you have problems contacting me via misfin, you can instead use my outlook email: christian.seibold32@outlook.com
