If you live in the EU, those are the cheapest domains I have found. They usually renew for $5-6 and you can sign up with them as low as $3. · 1 day ago

If you really want to skimp, get an el cheapo domain like .xyz, which doesn't come with increase renewal costs. Even .com is a stable $12/mo.\r\nAlso plugging my favorite registrat Netim, which has been super reliable and cheap · 1 day ago

Renewing is always more expensive, because every registrar offers discount for sign-up on first domain. I also tried transferring to another one, but I found the cost to be quite the same everywhere for the ".space" domain. My second ".eu" domain on porkbun is always cheap, on the other end. · 1 day ago

i am also running into "domain names got expensive" problems on gandi.net. I will try moving them elsewhere. · 1 day ago

Switch to a different registrar when your domain is about to expire. I've switched to PorkBun from Puff Daddy just a couple of month ago, and I've changed registrars at least two times before that — they have very competitive prices for new customers, while auto-renewal costs a ton. And for most TLDs you get an extra year when transferring the domain name, unless you've picked a really expensive TLD, you can save quite a lot using this simple trick! · 1 day ago
