I used to treat DNS as a pretty dumb collection of text files for ~20 years now. Now I have a fancy setup with multiple views, master/slave config, fine tuned update permissions for certbot, DHCP, etc. and really enjoy the damn thing. Best DNS config I ever put together and I keep learning. Setting up the new hosting cluster is truly a great learning experience. · 3 days ago

yes it is, being a hostmaster aka dns admin was my first job after education, you can really fsck up a lot of things with dns records. · 6 days ago

If you have network problems it's nearly always DNS :) · 6 days ago
