The Dinghy is currently in orbit of the gemlog.blue colony (server). After careful consideration we have requested permission to establish a presence (Outpost-3) at the colony. To our surprise the request was immediately granted. It has taken us a better part of the day to understand the colony's data structure and then to reformat Outpost-7's data sctructure, so that it is compatible with Outpost-3. The crew is currently finalizing the data transfer as we speak. Needless to say, we will be careful with the type of information we make available at this outpost in order to protect the colony's future.
Also, we attempted to look further into securing Outpost-7, but we have discovered that due to the nature of the technology (Gemini protocol) that allows access to Geminispace, securing the location of the outpost by implementing methods used in "normal" space may not be possible at this time (the free DNS proxy I normally use does not work with the Gemini protocol). A decission will have to be made on whether to expose Outpost-7's location or not, but thanks to the gemlog.blue colony the decission does not have to be made right away.
After the crew completes the data transfer we will remain in orbit for some much needed R&R. The crew defintely deserves it. Once we depart we will be setting a course to another colony we recently heard of known as the midnight.pub.
