The Lackrack begins!

I've just finished putting together a lackrack with casters, as well as a top and bottom table surface.

Next up is a patch panel, used Cisco WS-C3650, re-cased used Lenovo TS460, UPS, industrial 5v power supplies, and as many spare Raspberry Pis in 3D printed rackmount enclosures as I dare.

The beefiest system will be running NetBSD and Xen for virtualization, leveraging ZFS on the storage. 64 GB of RAM and several WD Reds should do nicely.

I'm thinking Kubernetes/general dev testing on the RPis for now, but the point with those is versatility.

Reading "beefiest system" and "NetBSD" in the same sentence was very satisfying.

Indeed. I've been testing the basic setup for the past few days. NetBSD made it easy and fun.
