updates, and slow starts

Before I knew it, it's now been a month since I last posted here - nearly more than that, as I'm cutting it close to midnight right now. Time truly does fly. I don't have anything particularly special planned to show today, but a third post is long overdue. It's just a slow start, like anything else.

First, the capsule itself has undergone some spring cleaning. There were a couple grammatical errors and stylistic inconsistencies on the main page that slipped through the cracks. Of course, I only noticed them well after linking it to all of my friends. Those were fixed, though I suspect I'll be tweaking each sentence there for a long time to come. The music and literature sections have been updated and expanded - "Snippet of the Month" is solidified as a means for me to share some of the coolest lowkey musical pieces I come across, and my ongoing reading list now reflects my three-books-at-a-time experiment with new blurbs for each one. The tweaks are far from over. For one thing, I still don't have a functioning atom feed, apparently.

Personally, this last month has been stressful, but has provided some clarity. Some current work fell apart, but in its place I've found support from the people around me to pursue my dream career more directly. I'm working on a script for an audiovisual project, bridging my interests in the form of something like a video essay. This won't be the last you'll hear of it.

Bright futures aside, this does mean that I'm broke right now. More than ever I'm grateful for noncommercial projects like the Zaibatsu and the SDF. There's a subscription-based platform or two that might be a little upset with me soon - no matter.

Life's in an interesting spot. It's very easy for me to grow distant from things I care about, whether that be dear friends or projects like this. Every time I make the effort to cross that distance, it's worth it. I want to communicate more, but I suppose you can't flip a switch and make the words flow freely overnight. It's just a slow start, like anything else.

Thanks for reading this.
