I went out for a sunrise viewing again this morning, around 5am. This time I went to the area at the south end of the airport runway, the same area where I take my lunchbreak walks. The display was not quite as grandiose as on my last trip, but I got a few beautiful photos. I think this photo over the river was perhaps the best of the lot:

While I was sitting in my truck, waiting for the show to start, I listened to a sermon on the radio from the book of Revelation. Chuck Swindoll I think. In the coming apocalyptic judgment, men everywhere will be forced to tremble in awe at God's awesome power. Looking at the glorious vista of the sunrise, it occurred to me that it would be better to be in awe of God's power now, than to wait for judgment day.
