most of my strategy is just knowing a crap ton of words, but also the things you mentioned especially with Greek/Latin. on the other hand, yesterday's puzzle had "ASSHAT" and I didn't catch that... never even occurred to me to try it even tho it's a word legitimately in my working vocabulary

Think you've covered most of my strategy.

My personal strategy was to write a gemini version of this game, and edit several dictionaries together word by word, until a playable dictonary emerged, with maybe 35000 words, after a year or so... It's not for everyone.

What strategies do you employ for remembering words/finding answers? — Depending on the letters, i'll use a lot of different strategies: - try to attatch/combine shorter words with prefixes and suffixes, especially latin/greek - combine whole words with each other - rearrange letters in previous answers - try to put together a string of letters that sound like they could be a word (this is a desperate move)
