Power Automate and Camping

26-06-2024

So basically these two do not have anything to do with each other. In fact, I'm going to write 2 different paragraph. I just couldn't be arsed to make 2 seperate posts ;-).

Power Automate

So my company is big on Modern Workplace, Sharepoint and all that stuff. The team developing for it uses Power Automate a LOT.

I do see the benefits of being able to run automated flows in our environment without having to have a seperate machine doing the scripting and using API's that are not always available outside of Automate.

BUT, the thing is an eldrich horror to work with. It seems I can do pretty much anything I could do in powershell, but it will take me several days troubleshooting bullshit errors, undoing automated for loops that aren't necessary and guessing what certain gibberish errors mean. In powershell similar scripts will take me probably about 10 minutes to create, and another 5 to test and schedule on my debian script VM...

Anyway guess that is the "cool" thing to do now, so we are Power Automating ;-)

Camping

No really, sleeping in a tent is ages ago. Even if it'll be only for 1 night and on a campsite and not in the wild I'm a bit excited. We used to camp all the time and go on multi day trips.

I just hope the gear is still fine and in shape. We'll see when we pack. ⛺
