Bunsenlabs, the spiritual successor of Crunchbang

Star date 210219
DistroWatch:
BunsenLabs Linux is a distribution offering a light-weight and easily customizable Openbox desktop. The BunsenLabs distribution is based on Debian's Stable branch and is a community continuation of the CrunchBang Linux distribution.

Isn't it great when your SSD dies? Yeah, I know. I shouldn't be buying a cheap thing from aliexpress. Duh. But you know what, I expected it. And it taught me to keep backups. Up to date backups!

So I asked myself whether I want to stay on Mint Xfce or not. And the answer was not really. So I looked back at my distro-hopping history and decided to get myself back in something Debian-based and light. No tiling window manager, I never grew too fond of those. But something floaty, sounded nice. Like openbox. Hmm, I said to myself, it really sounds like old pal Bunsenlabs.

Boy, did I miss having configuration in xml files. Lightning speed system and beautifully responsive. All the stuff I wanted already nicely preconfigured, like compton and tilt2 bar, scrot for screenshots, all the good stuff. Just missing tlp and redshift and few other necessities but mostly ready out of the box.

I feel like I'm going to stay here for a while.
