Today, I had a rather enjoyable experience with a program that's quite similar to rsync. I've encountered it before on some machines where it was pre-installed, but this time, I took pleasure in installing and configuring it myself. I must say it's remarkably efficient and straightforward to set up with its default configuration file. Plus, it offers additional configuration files for creating specific project settings. It has that classic Unix style that I find quite appealing.
However, when it comes to using graphical interfaces, I tend to struggle. I'm perfectly comfortable in the terminal, using tools like vim, netstat, and configuring ports – I'm at ease with those. But when it involves a graphical interface, I'm somewhat out of my element. I have this irrational fear of working with buttons and clicks. You could hand me puppet-cli, and I'd be fine, but when it comes to rundeck, I'm at a loss.
I suppose I'm showing my age and leaning towards the retro ways.
