Two men stood in a stadium surrounded by their respective supporters. They were both old and nearly senile but one was slightly more agreeable than the other. The stadium wasnt evently halved. It was skewed one way or another at any time. Nobody cared. Everybody was fighting for something. In the larger scope the entirety of the country that whichever of the two men would eventually be at the head of was one of the largest stadiums. It was effectively cut off from everything internationally thanks to the previous leader. Nobody wanted a new leader under the current system. But that was just the way things went.

When the slightly more objectively evil of the two men won his supporters rallied behind him while the rest of the population fought against him. Of course there was a slow trickle of defectors but the real end to his rule came when he tried to replace the current system of government with a dictatorship. He tried to remove basic rights for everyone but a supermajority of people and cast out all others. But the others he cast away were happier outside of that nation. So happy that they never once looked back on what they had before and stayed where they were. They settled into a complacency. They didnt think that the nation would do anything to hurt the world outside their own. They were wrong to have this assumption.

That nations ruler with all his power over the majority launched a war against all others. A war the nation could never win. But they were too blinded by dumb and mindless pride in a fleeting nation to see that. It was a final assault to protect their values from the clouds they believed taunted them and from the air they believed was against them. They fought everyone. They won but at the cost of everything and everyone. Nobody and nothing was spared. It was a fight without purpose. An old man yelling at clouds and throwing nukes at them. Now nobody can live comfortably.

There was now a waste of what used to be. The buildings slowly crumble as anybody passes them and when enough bits fly off the building crumbles into nothing. The only thing left would be the rubble along with things that proved the building once had tenance. Some buildings were large enough to where the dust traveled for miles at a time when they crumbled.

Rules don't exist much anymore. Not what they used to be. Small areas are governed by collective morals of a group and hardly ever challenged. Nobody ever lets anybody but themselves in anymore.

The world is long gone. That is all that upsets anymore.

And now a man approached a road long walked before.
