Distracted How does one get things done

When eyes fail to work,

And mind takes over sight,

And the past fills the present

Like water filling a glass?

One must wait,

And while waiting, time passes freely.

For the present is still present

And waits its turn to return

To the mind's stage,

But the past does not willingly depart,

It stays past its due,

The past is triumphant,

The day is through,

And the present is missing,

Yet long overdue
