Mom showed up at the place I'm staying today. She wants me to be back for christmas because she doesn't want to cause a fuss with the family. It was very angering to have that be the reason why, but even if it's temporary, it's food and shelter so I might have to say yes anyway.
We put up Christmas decorations today; I love how cats kick tinsel like it's prey... A very noisily-feathered bird.
