Beer of any kind is always welcome. During the Spring time I like to enjoy a mug in the evening. When it gets really warm in the Summer I enjoy a pint at night to keep me cool.
I know, I know smoking is bad for health. I agree. I own a nice rosewood pipe. I have smoked it few times. Its a reminder to me of simple times, when days burden could be undone with smoke rings. It sits on my mantle, I enjoy looking at it as I drink my whiskey.

It is my favourite. Whiskey never lets me down. A glass of neat whiskey at night, in my thinking chair, yes every hobbit has one, and book in other hand is the luxury that life has to offer.
It helps me slow down, take my time and enjoy the moment.
I always loved to read without any distractions. I like to immerse myself into the book or the article I am reading. Hence the love for Gemini. When the perception of time changes while reading I know it is time well spent. I read in all formats, I love physical books and I have a kindle which holds insane amount of books. E-libraries are awesome and services like Hoopla let you borrow books on kindle these day which is so convenient.
I like walking in the nature. It is one of my hobbies that no one frowns upon. Sometimes I bike around but I prefer walking. It helps me process things happening in my life. Mostly I tend not to think too deeply while walking, I just take in what nature has to offer and be grateful.
Since I am a self proclaimed hobbit, I love to write. I am fond of fountain pens and all kinds of writing instruments. Paper and pen are the best since one can carry them every where without needing anything else. Taking notes with vim on my laptop is also fun, since it allows me a greater speed and helps me keep my thoughts organized.
That brings me to computers. Yes, I am a modern day hobbit. I love technology, but in a unique way. I like to keep my computers around forever. I am still using my first ever laptop which is now more than decade and half old. All thanks to Linux. I like light weight Linux distributions since they work the best on my old hardware. I am quite against the commercial software and operating system. I can not change the world but I can control what I install on my laptop.
I tend to use terminal based programs instead those with the fancy graphics. I understand the appeal of the graphical interface and the shiny things. But to me those are not the things which motivate me to buy a new hardware every five years. Hardware never gets old, its the software that usually caused trouble. 💻
