About Me

I am an evangelical Christian living in Fairbanks, AK. My work title is Simulator Technician, and mainly I do electronics troubleshooting along with some programming and code debugging.

I enjoy studying Creation, with the driving motivations being both intellectual stimulation and also the glory and praise of the Creator. Right now I am mainly focusing on Amateur astronomy during the winter, and during the summer I like to explore and learn about Alaska trees, flowers, and other flora.

For several years, I have been doing self-study to learn Bibical Hebrew. I am not fully proficient yet, but I try to spend at least a few minutes a day in my Hebrew Bible, as well as bringing my parallel Bible to church.

I am somewhat fanatical about Emacs and have found myself spending more and more time learning how to do all my computing in Emacs or from Emacs. Emacs has become my universal tool, since it is self-extensible and is able to interface with the Operating System and network in multiple ways.

I am a free software advocate, since I want other people to enjoy the freedom and knowledge that I have gained in learning about and using free software. I believe in copyleft, and I am a financial supporter of the Free Software Foundation, although I do not appreciate their support for the woke LGBTQ+ and gender identity movements.

I have a variety of other interests, like chess, mathematics, and some of the arts, but I don't pursue them much due to lack of time.

Doctrinal Beliefs

I affirm...

- the authority of the Old Testament and New Testament Scriptures

- the orthodox doctrine concerning the Triune Creator God, including the Diety of the Christ

- a literal six-day view of Biblical Creation

- a Dispensational understanding of Bible prophecy, including God's unique plan for Israel and the Jewish people

- the sufficiency of Christ and his work on the Cross in regards to the salvation and redemption of mankind

- the role of the Holy Spirit in leading us to God, cleansing us, and making us new creations in Christ
