are there schzophrenic out there who doesn't look like well schizohprenic... yeah I am one of them. you could talk to me, hand out with me and talk about tech, privacy and you won't even feel you are talking to someone who is schizophrenic. I don't know if I should take meds or not since It's affecting my life very midly. very rarely I "detach" from reality and start talking in my head and if someone calls me at that time I will be back. again very rarely I do stuff that doesn't make any sense but I don't know if that's enough reason to take those meds :/
share your expereince of meeting with a schizophrenic and don't even realizing that.
btw is there any way of testing *if* someone has schizophrenia because I don't trust my phyciatrist.
also wtf is "hearing voices"? I don't "hear" voices It's just I am imagening those stuff and I know it's not real. it's not like I will try to find the person whom sound I am imagening.
I have read other schizohprenic which IMO honestly seems like they are mentally ill. I don't think I could even classified as "mentally ill"
trust me guys I am a nice guy and you would enjoy talking with me, my phyciatrist seems like an a*hole who has intentionally misdiagnosed for money!

I don't know if your pyschiatrist mis diagnozed you but you don't seem schizophrenic to me based on what you said. Talking in your head is not schizophrenia.

@eddos yeah, but when my physciatrist asked me "do you hear voices" I said "yes" since I didn't know the meaning of "hearing voices". :/
however I have all the Negative Symptoms of schizophrenia but not very severe

Schizophrenia isn't a thing you have. It's a bunch of symptoms psychiatrists have bundled together and given a name to, because they have no idea what's happening. But the root cause of the symptoms could be very diverse - for example there are bacterial infections that can cause similar symptoms, and is easily mis-diagnosed. It's very rare (don't necessarily assume that's what's happening to you), but it has happened and people ended up on anti-psychotics when they should have been on anti-biotics.
Take meds if (and only if) the meds help you get by in life/function in society. But don't believe the labels assignes to us by the psychiatric establishment. There are alternative ways to think about it and to approach it.

One of my friends who is schizophrenic and is refusing medication suffers greatly from the voices he hears. He doesn’t know he hears voices, for him it’s real, and when he is confronted with reality (“there was nobody on the cctv recording!”) he rationalises it (“yeah because they hid”). He lives in a constant fear and stress because of the voices. But he doesn’t want to go with the diagnosis and take medication. It’m

"He doesn’t know he hears voices, for him it’s real," THIS
most people don't know if the voices are real. but I *do* know that voices are not real. I can understand why your friend is alway in stress because trust me those voices are annoying and discouraging. It's like they are alway criticising you and threatening you. and the voices are mostly just extended version of past conversation I had with them.

That’s a really good thing! I think you can be aware that the voices aren’t real, and as you say, it will still give you a lot of stress. Honestly you don’t need to have that. Medication does help. And these things ebb and flow; you might have periods in the future where the symptoms are stronger, and telling what is real and what isn’t might become harder.
If you mistrust your doctor, would you consider getting a second opinion?

you are right that I should take medicines and I do (not regularly but whenever I don't feel fine). I really hope I don't get to the point where I couldn't tell what real and what's not. I also made a post about it on Lemmy talking about my concerns.

i take some medication myself for anxiety (fortunately on my way out of it now!) and the thing is you usually need to keep taking the meds even when you feel fine because they have a cumulative effect. that means that your body needs to reach a "saturation point" when you have a given dose of the medicine in your system which you then need to maintain at a steady level. it makes such a big difference! it's so worth it imo.
