Just thinking out loud here really - KaiOS seems really good fun, and, as it is based on FirefoxOS, there ought to be a way to create a FirefoxOS fork that could replace KaiOS, right?
I’m quite fond of the idea of those little feature phones like the JioPhone 2 that has a full QWERTY keyboard. I’d love to get one of those to hack. I’m hoping to make sg similar based on the LilyGo T-Deck. Would be superfun.

I believe someone did something similar to that, it was Gerda OS, if I remember right. I never tried it though, and I am not sure if it is still going.

Is there any reason not to use one of GrapheneOS, LineageOS, or CalyxOS? Those seem like they're better supported and more free/libre...

I use Graphene, but as with anything you have to trust the developers. I don't do anything sensitive like banking on it, just in case.
KaiOS — What are the opinions here on KaiOS? I see a bunch of feature phones with it, but I'm unsure if I should trust it.
