It seems like it's been a while. The abusive relationship called work was intresting today or should that be just "the abusive". It was a remarkably hot day for a change and very dry. So for my pleasure I watched (not for the first time) X do the thing I was going to do but in reverse with exactly the same results, apart from the fact that X's results are a product of being better than everybody else and hating everyone. To win (pointlessly) a conversation about Salt I had to suggest that Himalayan Salt "got first dibs on Chemtrails". After listening to the "fact" that Sea Salt had chemicals in it something something so wasn't better ect ect. Every *ucking day it's pathetic.
I mean if I was going to start a conversation or rant about xyz generations attitude to health et al, I probably wouldn't start it with and expatiate Margarine! There is comedy gold here but like Wayne king before him, it's all to tragic and I'm not sure how much more of it I can stand.

I've gone quite mad! Having a mainly Doom-Emacs dwm laptop, it has been possible to put all my .configs into one org-mode file. Is this a good idea? Not sure how long the novelty will last or whether it will be possible to org-babel-tangle all the configs direct onto a new install without the prerequisite folders existing, but what I usually do (and have done for decades) is just drag or cp -r a bunch of backed up stuff onto a new build. This is fine but can be a pain in the ass when your trying to figure out what to do with the OG backups. It's like "May need it later-ism" kicks in and you end up with an Inception level of useless backups. I do anyway.

I'm not liking the notification area at all. Who's idea was this? What a stupid retrograde move. #Moto32 #linageOS #AndroidThirteen And on further reflection I can only conclude that this has been do to make things worse, for there was nothing wrong with the way it was before this travesty. So why change it? It wasn't broke, it didn't need fixing. I am surprised there isn't a setting to revert to the old notification style, would it be so much of a stretch?

Finally. I feel like I own my phone. It has zero cruft, zero google and it just works.
I'm still waiting for my new phone to have the OEM unlock button activate. Although now after dicing with death and changing the battery* of my old phone I could probably live without it. Such annoying first world problems! See, my new phone has a proper jack for headphones and I like that. It means I've got a dedicated podcast/music player if nothing else. Who knows though? If it isn't unlock-able by Thursday I'll take it back. Tiz a bit of a shame. But I can't keep a phone with more things on it disabled than I use, it just seems ridiculous. Like GOOGLE PLAY service is running in the background; I don't use Google play, I'll never open it. And I've no idea what Moto Actions and Gestures even are. There is even a search engine chooser that keeps showing up in the overly cluttered notification area. It's all so odd, that people put up with this kind of asinine help. ,* Disingenuous *astards on youtube. How many times did they *uck that up b4 getting a good demo? It felt more like impossible mission ...

I bit the bullet. I brought a new phone, MotoG32. If I can't unlock the OEM boot thingy within the next few days I'll be taking back. I sat down and tried unlocking this thing as per the manufacturers instruction only to find out via some other complainant that it can take three days for the unlock to come through? Thanks for letting us know in advance. The excuse for this three day wait is fairly feeble, it's in case of loss or theft. I wonder how many people report these cheap phones as lost or stolen? This phone is the sort of item a criminal would force you to take at Gun point.
