7 ‎[1] THE NAKEDNESS OF THY FATHER. Scripture begins with the father, who precedes the son. Scripture states that anyone who is closely related to his father or mother is prohibited. Note, the nakedness of the mother is the one that is mentioned first. The nakedness of the father’s wife, who is not the mother, follows. Then comes the sister, who is the daughter of his father or the daughter of his mother.
