[2] [WHEN THEY DREW NEAR.] The word *be-korvatam* (when they drew near) is an infinitive. Compare, *le-korvah* (to come unto) in *to come unto the work* (Ex. 36:2). The *heh* in *le-korvah* has been turned into a *tav* in *be-korvatam* as is the practice with the feminine *heh*. Rabbi Joshua, who says that *be-korvatam* is a noun following the paradigm of *chokhmatam* (their wisdom) (Jer. 49:7), errs.
